On Thursday, May 9th Ridgeway Community School, Minnesota Public Charter School District #4083, will hold its annual school board elections. All parents and guardians of RCS Kindergarten to 5th-grade students, all RCS staff members, and the RCS community representative on the board are eligible to vote for teacher, parent, and community representatives to the board. According to Minnesota State Law, to be considered a Parent Representativeto the board an individual must be listed as a parent or legal guardian on a current Kindergarten to 5th grade Ridgeway student’s enrollment form. Any licensed teacher employed by the school may run for a position as a Teacher Representative. To be eligible to serve as a community representative on a Minnesota charter school board an individual must live in Minnesota and be neither the parent or guardian of an enrolled student at the school or a staff member at the school. Write-in candidates are allowed for all board positions.
Voting will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the day of the election by completing the online ballot which will be emailed to all parents, guardians, and employees of the school as well as the current community representative to the board.
